There are different sources that can vibrate the condenser tubes, however, the vibrations in the condenser can cause serious damage to the tubes when increased steam flows are introduced, for example, or when it is recapped with more wall tubes. thin or those with low modulus of elasticity. Tube vibration, if left unresolved, can lead to catastrophic tube failure and consequently unscheduled unit exit.

There are different methods to control vibrations, we manufacture different types of anti-vibration baffles to suit all bulkhead configurations between tubes, including single beam and conical tube passages. The most common systems are those of the “Espada” type that are installed between points of each condenser screen and that reduce the length of the unsupported tube by half, reducing the vibration that causes tube failure.
